You would think that talking about me would be the easy part of this blog, but in all actuality it is the hardest.
I am a 40 something year old wife and mother. I have an amazing husband Paul who is my BFF and my rock. I have two amazing kids. Taylor and Morgan. As you will see from my posts Taylor passed away in June of 2013 so our little family on earth consists of Myself, Paul and Morgan.
I grew up and continue to live in the great state of Utah. I love it here. I love living nestled in the valley of the beautiful mountains of Utah. I love the changing seasons but my favorite would have to be Fall with Winter as a close second. I have 6 brothers and 4 sisters that are mine by marriage I am the baby. My dad passed away when I was younger and I have three brothers and 2 sisters that have passed away as well. Two of those brothers died from Cystic Fibrosis. I love my family! There is 16 years between myself and my closest in age living brother. I consider myself blessed to have been brought up in this family. I was loved and continue to be loved and we are close. I'm grateful to my brothers even if they did have all the fun and I had to bring up the rear. They are always there for me and I know that they always have my back.
I have another family that I married into that I love dearly. I am blessed to call them mine. I consider myself pretty lucky that we are close and that they consider me to be a sister as if I was born into their family.
I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I have a strong testimony in the gospel of Christ and of his atoning sacrifice for us all. I love my Heavenly Father and my Savior Jesus Christ. I am grateful to know that I am a daughter of God. I am grateful for my eternal family and the promise that it brings me. I love the church and I love working with the youth. I love the energy and the strength that the youth have.
I enjoy being with my family. We are super close and do everything together. We love to camp, and snowmobile. We love to play cards and have family game nights. I love sports and love to play softball, volleyball and basketball. I also love to read. I enjoy romance (the good girl kind. LDS standards for sure), historical fiction and romance/suspense novels (just nothing too scary or disturbing) If I could, I would read all the time but my family tends to think that I ignore them when I have books to read. Reading is my escape from my worries and concerns. I love music and I love to dance. Not the fancy dancing. The dancing that embarrasses your kids kind of dancing.
I work full time. I'm not much of a cook, but I do make my own salsa and make jellies and jams. Paul is the cook at our house and I gladly give him full reign over the kitchen. I am super happy to just clean up after he is done. I'm not super crafty but I wish I was.
People think I'm strong and self assured but really, I'm insecure and have a lot of issues with my self confidence. But I am working on that. Maybe someday I will feel the same as the person I pretend to be.
Oh and in case you missed it before I love my family and I would do anything for them. My husband and my kids are my world! I would not be who I am today without them. They give me strength and they bring me joy!
If I missed anything I will add it later.
